East Hampton
This 1920s Hamptons retreat was “move-in ready” when my friend, TV producer Mark Robinson, bought it a few years ago. Mark is a frequent guest at La Castellane in France, and knows that one of my greatest skills as an interior decorator is that I understand the importance of comfort — my houses are always supremely comfortable as well as beautiful.
Mark and I love to shop the antique fairs in France, and so I was happy to join him in the hunt for a few specific pieces at our favorite spots out East: Laurin Copen Antiques in Bridgehampton, and Ruby Beets and Katie Leede in Sag Harbor.
Then I got to work elevating the overall scheme with paint, wallpaper, and fabric from my latest collection, Jewels of the East. You’ll find Togo Check and Ottoman Stripe on the window treatments, Sultan Suzani and Kippford Stripe on the pillows on the sofa, and Hand Stitched Multi and Indian Mirror Multi on the soft furnishings in the primary bedroom.
The best part of designing for a friend? Whenever I’m in the Hamptons, I get to drop in and enjoy the comforts of an idyllic home away from home.
